DENVER (KDVR) – We forecast a 10-degree drop in temperature on Friday in Denver and the Front Range. Even though it will be cooler, it will still be 15-20 degrees above normal temperatures for this time of year.
Expect sunny skies and dry conditions.
The mountain will also remain dry and sunny on Friday with unusually warm peaks in the 1950s.
A cold front is blowing on Sunday with cloudy waves, wind gusts to 15-35 mph and a slight chance of flurries in the northern mountains. The peaks of the Front Range will be in the upper 50s.
Our first storm system in two weeks arrives Monday through Tuesday. Mountain snow and wind seem likely with the storm system. You can expect 3-6 inches of snow in the ski areas. In Denver, we expect a 20% chance of rain-snow. This storm system will be primarily a mountain storm system.
A second storm system runs from Wednesday to Thursday, and potentially a third storm system from Friday to Saturday. Each storm system will provide 3-6 inches of snow to ski areas. Storm systems will only bring small chances of snow to Denver.
