Nestled in scenic Hurricane Valley, Le Havre welcomes seniors who are opening a new chapter in their life journey. This is not your ordinary retirement community.

The Haven is now accepting bookings for The Villas at The Haven, a collection of 18 independent living units. These beautifully appointed villas have been designed to meet the needs of senior citizens looking to downsize and fully enjoy their ‘golden years’ in a carefree community and environment.

“The villas are for seniors looking to simplify their lives,” said executive director Andy Palmer. “Our goal is to provide a carefree lifestyle where residents can maintain their independence while enjoying all the features and conveniences of The Haven.”

Located directly across from the Assisted Living and Memory Care Community, the villas offer freedom from the daily hassles of home ownership with access to quality amenities. All meals and activities at the Haven are included, as well as transportation services.

Each two-bedroom unit has nearly 1,400 square feet of open living space with high ceilings, full kitchen, laundry room, front and back covered porches and an oversized single garage with storage space. The villas have their own clubhouse, swimming pool, pickleball courts and pavilion.

All utilities including TV and Internet are included. The Haven also offers a weekly cleaning and laundry service, as well as a 24/7 emergency alert system and security for added peace of mind.

Residents are expected to move into the first phase of the villas later this month, with a new phase opening each month thereafter. For a limited time, all new reservations will receive a $2,500 gift card to Stout Home Furnishings in Hurricane.

The Haven is a vibrant, state-of-the-art independent and assisted living community. Residents enjoy a spacious open floor plan with common areas, a group dining room, and floor-to-ceiling windows to let in an abundance of natural light. Spectacular views of Zion National Park and the Pine Valley Mountains accent a patio, vegetable garden, and fishing pond.

Facilities include a putting green, billiard room, cinema room and full-size gymnasium for residents’ use. The staff also provides a myriad of activities, programs, and entertainment options for residents, such as weekly outings to Zion and Snow Canyon State Park.

The Haven also includes a 12-unit memory care community with a Montessori program for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Care focuses on people-centered activities to stimulate the senses and promote physical, emotional and social well-being.

The Haven is unique among retirement communities in the area because it is locally owned and operated, Palmer said. The owners are deeply involved in both the operations and the residents themselves.

“You will walk through the door and feel the difference in how we treat our staff and our residents,” he added.

Le Havre was voted best in southern Utah assisted living community in 2021 and 2020. Palmer said he could talk endlessly about the benefits of living in The Haven, but that story is best told by its many happy residents.

Ceil brought a lot of her own furniture when she moved in, which helped her feel more comfortable when she settled in. She enjoys socializing with the other residents and the activities available for different interests, from quilting and billiards to bridge and Mexican train.

“I’m just comfortable here,” she said. “I just think it’s a blessing to have been able to come in here.”

Another resident, Doreen, particularly enjoys the dining experience.

“The way they decorated the tables and made us feel at home and the quality of the food was beyond anything I expected,” she said. “I’m just thrilled every night to see how the chef put it together.”

The founders of The Haven spared no expense in providing an active lifestyle with family-like care and support. From your first visit to move-in day and day-to-day life, the attentive staff will attend to your needs and desires.
