With the addition of a Prinoth Husky snowmobile at the Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center, the ranch now offers snowmobile tours of the Nordic Trail System.
Visits will take place every Saturday morning at 7:30 am from January 8 through the end of the month. Rent the entire snowcat cabin for $ 500.
Guides will share the history of the ranch throughout the two-hour experience, which is half spent inside the eight-person cabin of the caterpillar. Tours also stop at Rowley Homestead, so guests can enjoy a hot fire, s’mores, and hot chocolate.
In addition to offering circuits, the Nordic Center will use the track to clean the trails all winter.
Snow Mountain Ranch is also asking for help naming the new snowcat. To participate, visit the Nordic Center’s Facebook or Instagram to comment on a name suggested on the snowcat post.
The competition will run until December 27.
