Snow Canyon Little League Stars Win Mountain Region, Will Represent Utah in World Series – St George News

ST. GEORGE- World Series dreams have come true for the all-star U12 Snow Canyon Little League baseball team.

In Friday afternoon’s Mountain Region Finals in San Bernardino, Calif., Utah defeated Nevada 7-3 to become the first Little League men’s team in State history. Utah to qualify for the World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Kolby Lamoreaux scored two runs in the first run and three more in the third run to score all the runs Snow Canyon needed to win. Two more insurance runs late in the fourth secured the historic victory.

Pitcher Reggie Ence threw five innings on the hill for Snow Canyon, racking up three strikeouts and throwing 17 first strikes against the Paseo Verde Little League team.

Brex Whitney came on to kick off the start of the sixth for Snow Canyon, coming out of a base-loaded jam to earn the stoppage. Click here to see the final output.
