Rain, snowflakes possible until Saturday

DETROIT – Here is the updated weather forecast for Metro Detroit for March 24, 2022, afternoon and evening.

Chance of rain/snow until Saturday

  • Lots of cloud and a light drizzle will essentially hang around Saturday, but occasionally a few snowflakes or light showers will be present.

  • The best chance of light rain comes Friday, but there will be breaks for some dry weather.

  • The best chance of light snow is Friday night through early Saturday.

  • Not much impact is expected from any of this, but it’s definitely a nuisance.

Temperature change next week

  • The beginning of next week is cold. Highs on Sunday and Monday will be in the mid to high 30s.

  • We’re back in the 50s for the highs on Wednesday.

Next week’s storm

  • Long-range models continue to struggle a bit with the solution for the middle of next week.

  • The majority of models/courses tend towards a more rainy solution compared to a more snowy solution.

  • There’s still plenty of time to see how the models handle this system, but it’s safe to say that Wednesday through Thursday will bring more impactful weather.

Normal temperatures are rising

  • The normal high will be 50 degrees on Friday.

  • The normal low will be up to 32 degrees Monday next week.
