The ORGANIZERS of the Keswick Mountain Festival have announced the line-up for their Festival Village.
The Festival Village on Crow Park will host a wide variety of family activities including wildlife walks, virtual tank driving, Segway course, mountain trike ride, BMX demonstrations, slacklining, a rock climbing wall, orienteering, canoeing, bushcraft, stand-up paddleboarding and the KMF Accessible Adventure Zone.
Additionally, the Craghoppers’ Tent Talks program will feature inspiring personalities from the world of outdoor adventure.
All Festival Village attractions are free to anyone who books a place at one of the festival’s outdoor sporting events.
This includes access to a live music night on Friday or Saturday.
As well as having unlimited access to all the initiation sessions taking place in the Festival Village, ticket holders will also be able to access the Craghoppers’ Tent Talks 2022.
Programming includes: Lurking in the Lakes & Himalayan Exploits, with famed mountaineer Alan Hinkes incorporating spectacular photos and video clips; 3 Dads Walking, a poignant story of hope of three men united by the loss of their three daughters to suicide, who came together to walk over 300 miles across England; Climate Explorers, a first-hand account of Isaac Kenyon, one of five eco-adventurers who cycled across the UK and used water bikes to complete two first sea crossings; and The Women’s Euro-Arabian North Pole Expedition 2018, a story by Misba Khan about the experience of 11 women crossing the North Pole, some of whom had never skied before, or even seen snow.
Nicola Meadley, Director of the Keswick Mountain Festival, said: “Visitors can try out the tasting activities in our busiest program yet, hear inspiring first-hand accounts at Tent Talks, then end the day with uplifting live music.
“Book a place for one of our sporting events and you can also experience all that Festival Village has to offer throughout the day and evening – it’s great value for money.
“We also have great day and weekend festival ticket packages for the whole family.”
