Mountain Statesman | Live the Top Shelf experience at Lake Tygart


TAYLOR COUNTY — As summer begins to wind down and the chill of fall is already felt in the evening air, so does the Music in the Park summer musical series. Tygart Lake State Park Foundation.

However, there is still time to head to Lake Tygart for an afternoon of fun. The foundation would like to welcome you to another afternoon of music as they host the ever-popular band Top Shelf.

The band made a name for themselves playing local and regional venues, bringing a great mix of oldies, rock and country hits.

Top Shelf can be heard covering classics such as “Love Shack”, “Purple Rain” and “Some Kind of Wonderful” to “Pontoon”, “Seven Bridges Road” and “Tennessee Whiskey”.

The concert will take place on the terrace of Tygart Lake Lodge, overlooking the waters of the lake, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., this Sunday, August 21.

Although the event is free and open to the public, donations are always welcome and accepted by the foundation as they continue to work to improve the state park for all who visit.

Donations can be mailed to the Tygart Lake State Park Foundation at 1240 Paul Malone Rd. Grafton, WV 26354.
