Mountain snow for tonight, cooler conditions tomorrow | WDVM25 and DCW50

Good Monday! Mostly clear skies Monday evening. There is a chance for Alleghenies, parts of Garett County could see light snow showers heading into the evening. An arctic high is forming overnight until Tuesday in front of a strong cold front. As a result, we will see drier conditions and our temperatures drop from our teens to our 20s. The gusts of wind will continue until tonight as the front approaches. The winds will ease Tuesday morning as the high pressure becomes more centered over the region. Daytime highs will be greatest in adolescents up to the age of 20. Overnight wind chills will be single digits for most of the region, while mountains could see single digits peaks. The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for the mountains from 7 a.m. tonight to 10 a.m. tomorrow. However, our highs will gradually warm up from late Tuesday to Wednesday as a southerly flow enters the region. Highs for our Wednesday will be closer to mid-1940s average temperatures. Dry conditions are expected for the remainder of the week. By Thursday, the high pressure will begin to collapse in the region. This could bring precipitation west of the Allegheny front. However, the rest of us will be mostly dry throughout the region. A low front will start to move through the area and reach us by the end of Friday to early Saturday. This depression has the potential to bring widespread winter precipitation.
