LANDRUM––Landrum kicks off the start of fall this Saturday, September 10 with its annual Hogback Mountain Day event. Every September, Landrum celebrates the end of summer with a fun day for community members. This one-day event is packed with food vendors, vintage cars, live music, and kiddie rides.
The event starts at 8 a.m. at Landrum Farmers Market. The Mountain Market will be on Trade Avenue downtown, featuring a petting zoo and live bluegrass music performances by Retro 78 Bluegrass. Those interested in donating blood will also have the opportunity to do so at the event.
Summer Sizzle, a highlight of the event, will be presented by The Well Church from 3-7 p.m. This portion of Hogback Mountain Day includes carnival rides, free hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones and drinks, and live music to follow at the Farmer’s Market.
Robert Farmer of The Well oversees Summer Sizzle, saying, “We want to love and pour Christ on our community. He quotes 1 John 4:9 stating, “We love because he first loved us.”
The global event will take place between the Landrum Farmers Market Pavilion and Trade Avenue periodically throughout the day, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
