Chicago area snowfall totals so far – NBC Chicago

The Chicago area ushered in 2022 with a winter storm as constant snowfall blanketed the area, creating dangerous travel conditions and causing more than 1,000 flight cancellations.

Forecasters say accumulations between four and six inches are possible, as well as northeast winds with gusts of over 35 miles per hour.

Midway Airport – 2.3 inches

Oak lawn – 3 inches

O’Hare Airport – 1.4 inches

Palatine – 4.3 inches

Roselle – 1.7 inches

Tinley Park – 2 inches

DeKalb County:

Somonauk – 3.0 inch

DuPage County:

Carol Stream – 3.1 inch

Grove Downers – 2.7 inches

Naperville – 2.6 inches

Grundy County:

Carbon Hill – 2.1 inches

Kane County:

Aurora – 1.5 inches

Saint-Charles: 2.8 inches

Lake County:

Bannockburn – 3.3 inches

Deerfield -3 inches

Lindenhurst – 3 inches

Venetian Village – 2.5 inches

McHenry County:
