Head to Abbey Falls, Iruppu Falls and Devarapalli Falls and raft the Barapole River for an adrenaline rush. For a quieter trip, stay with a homestay, enjoy long walks through coffee plantations, and head to Coorg’s various viewpoints at sunrise and sunset.
For a sense of adventure, head to Bhandardara near Igatpuri and climb up to Ratangad Fort. The hike takes about five hours and involves walking through dense forests, but the view of Lake Bhandardara and the dam from the top is worth it. After all that exercise, head to Wilson or Randha Falls to cool off.
Birdwatching enthusiasts may spot the elusive Little Florican in Sonkhaliya, Ajmer this monsoon. The bird is usually found in the high grasslands, and during the monsoon, the male birds hop across the fields of Sonkhaliya hearing the mating calls of the females. It’s a great opportunity to capture fascinating photos of the endangered species.
